My philosophy

"THe stories found between the dust & sunsets"

My photography has always been about more than taking a good photograph. It’s about noticing the moments that might otherwise pass us by.

I photograph rural life as I know it — the work, the dust and the slapping blades, the quiet pause at smoko, family around the table, cheeky bush kids, weathered hands, good horses and the last light disappearing over the paddock.

I’m drawn to the ordinary moments that, with time, become the ones we miss the most.

There’s no need to polish rural life into something it isn’t. I want the dust, the movement, the imperfections and the people exactly as they are. Because after more than a decade behind the camera, I’ve learnt that the photographs that matter aren’t always the perfect ones. They’re the ones that make you remember how a place felt, who was there, and the story unfolding around you.

My work sits somewhere between photography, storytelling and documenting a way of life I deeply understand.

Real people. Real places. Real stories — captured so they’re not forgotten.
